I have several interests that I enjoy spending time on outside of school and work. They give me opportunities to relax, learn new things, and explore my creativity. Some of my main interests include reading, playing piano, and photography.
Reading
I have loved to read since I was younger, and I have really gotten back into it this year. I have read 71 books year-to-date, and I am hoping to readd 100 before the end of the year. I love to read fantasy books, books about political upheaval, and romance books. I have a kindle and take it with me wherever I go so I can read on the train and on plane rides.
Playing Piano
Another important interest of mine is playing the piano. I started playing when I was 6 years old, and since then it has become something I enjoy doing in my free time. Playing piano gives me an opportunity to focus on something creative while continuing to challenge myself and improve. I particularly enjoy composing and writing songs.
Photography
Photography is another creative interest of mine. I enjoy capturing interesting places, moments, and details that I encounter in everyday life. Photography encourages me to pay closer attention to my surroundings and notice things that I might otherwise overlook. I particularly enjoy photographing the places I travel, and I hope to continue developing my photography skills.
